The CAD/CAM system is the most significant technical advantage in the production of LSF (Light Steel Frame) structures at Ario Sanat Araz. More than any other factor, the use of the CAD/CAM system has made Ario Sanat Araz a unique company in the field of LSF construction systems.
Structural Design:
With the support of an experienced and well-trained engineering team, and using the latest global software such as BricsCAD, the structural design is carried out in compliance with AISI and IBC (U.S. building codes), as well as Iran’s national building regulations (Topics 6 – 2800, 19, and 18) concerning load-bearing, energy consumption, and acoustic insulation. The licensed BricsCAD software enables Ario Sanat Araz to achieve optimal LSF structural design in the shortest possible time.
These buildings exhibit the most suitable behavior against seismic forces due to the integration of their components and their lightweight nature. The engineering philosophy behind this type of construction is based on replacing a few strong elements with numerous, strategically distributed weaker ones. As a result, during an earthquake, even if part of the building is damaged, other sections compensate for the affected areas, maintaining the overall structural integrity.
In this construction method, as with other systems, architectural drawings in DWG format are first prepared by the architect. The calculation software can read these DWG files and use them as input for structural analysis. This capability increases the speed and accuracy of data transfer to the analytical software, resulting in a 3D structural model that precisely matches the architectural drawings. The CAD/CAM technology processes the input data intelligently, considering the overall integrity of the structure, applying loads under realistic conditions, and selecting structural sections that can perform optimally against those loads. Based on this, all mechanical operations—including cutting, punching, and drilling for the passage of mechanical and electrical installations—are pre-planned and executed automatically by the machine.
Another reason why LSF buildings have gained popularity is their high construction and execution speed, thanks to the use of the CAD/CAM method.
LSF – Environmentally Friendly Buildings:
These buildings generate minimal material waste and energy loss during construction, and also have very low energy consumption during their lifespan. Additionally, many of the materials used in this type of construction are either biodegradable or recyclable at the end of the building’s life. Globally, LSF buildings are known as green and eco-friendly structures.
Saving on materials and energy is another advantage of the LSF construction method. The low volume and lightweight nature of the structures reduce the amount and volume of materials needed for construction, which in turn means less energy is required for material production. The lightweight design also significantly reduces the energy needed for transportation. During the construction and installation phases, less energy is required for moving and assembling components and materials.
